Be A Shark

Join us on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 beginning at 6:00pm at the Watertown Library for Be a Shark - The Secret Sauce to Winning in Life after High School with author Matthew J. Wright. A presentation aimed at providing students and their parents with numerous tips and tricks on how to be successful in college and beyond.

Professor Wright graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Westminster College (PA) in 1999 and a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 2006. He completed postdocs at University of Innsbruck and Harvard University. Recently, he has published two books, Sustaining Colleges and Universities through Community, and Be A Shark: The Secret Sauce to Winning in Life after High School. Dr Wright currently conducts undergraduate-focused research in atomic physics and runs three separate outreach programs including Lab-for-Kids, Cosmic Pathways, and Be a Shark.

There will be Q&A as well as an opportunity to discuss Dr. Wright's book following the presentation.
