From Connecticut to Capitol Hill
Join us at the Watertown Library on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm as we welcome historical storyteller, author, and researcher, John Cilio, as he explores the life of statesman Roger Sherman “From Connecticut to Capitol Hill”.
The program begins with Sherman’s first foray into politics and his election to the Connecticut General Assembly in 1755, then on to the national stage serving as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1787, and being a signer of all four of the most important documents in American History.
The journey will also include Sherman’s personal life with his wife, Elizabeth Hartwell, and their seven children.
Registration is suggested.
