Watertown Rotary Club Speakers
Community members and friends are invited to join the Watertown Rotary Club to hear two lunch hour speakers this August at the Watertown Library Atrium. Bring a brown bag lunch if you wish. Rotary will provide dessert and coffee.

Kyle Mieczkowski will give a talk on the artist Seward Johnson. Seward Johnson is the creator of the statue exhibition that the Watertown Foundation is sponsoring throughout the community in celebration of its 100th anniversary. This public art installation will be in place from August through October.
Raised in Watertown, Kyle has done extensive research on the artist Seward Johnson. Kyle is a second-year intern at Mattatuck Museum and an undergraduate at The University of Hartford Art School majoring in illustration and minoring in animation, creative writing and art history. He began his studies at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and has since published a manga as a student in Osaka, Japan. He will be spending next semester studying painting and figure drawing in Cortona, Italy.

The Town Manager, Mark Raimo will be speaking about the brand-new Citizens Academy and how to enroll.
This is a new initiative of the Town of Watertown designed to educate and engage residents in the inner workings of municipal government. The Citizens Academy is designed to provide residents with a unique behind the scenes look at local government and services.
